BARBARA O. YGLESIAS
Barbara O. Yglesias has been devoted to art since childhood, studying Fine Arts at the University of Costa Rica and dedicating herself fully to her creative career since 1993.
Inspired by the vibrant flora and fauna of her homeland, Barbara's work reflects a constant evolution of ideas, colors, and forms. Her art celebrates biodiversity while transforming it into designs that resonate across cultures and products.

In 2015, she expanded her practice into design, founding Tierra Magica, a brand that translates her hand-painted wildlife motifs into textiles and lifestyle products. Today, Tierra Magica offers more than 100 handmade creations, produced in collaboration with small family-owned businesses in Costa Rica.
After two years of painting Costa Rica's colorful birds, Barbara launched her "Aves de América" series in 2025, introducing a homewares collection under her own name. This collection highlights her vision of art as both decorative and functional, bringing nature's beauty into everyday life. Barbara's next chapter is art licensing.
She is eager to collaborate with international companies, offering her distinctive wildlife-inspired artwork for products that connect creativity, sustainability, and cultural authenticity.
